Plaza Dalí
by Francisco Mangado
Plaza Dalí is a complex space of great urban value in the center of Madrid. The existing, inhospitable space was characterized by poor paving, by the presence of an underground parking structure and by a sculpture by Salvador Dalí. The new project follows two objectives: to endow it with a formal significance in tune with its importance as a central public space of the city; and to attain a certain degree of comfort to allow neighbors, who up to now contemplated this area with some distance, to make it their own.
